Start with Troubleshooting when a command fails. Use this page when you need to decide what information to collect before asking for help.
Before Asking for Help
Section titled “Before Asking for Help”Collect:
- CLI version and install method.
- Gateway mode: local, foreground, background, or remote server.
- Command that failed, with secrets removed.
- Source identifier, such as
postgres://warehouse. - Provider family, such as database, warehouse, observability, or developer tool.
- Whether the failure is install, auth, source setup, query validation, provider permission, or provider response shape.
Do Not Share
Section titled “Do Not Share”- Database passwords.
- Provider tokens.
- Service account private keys.
- Raw production rows unless the support workflow explicitly requires them and an operator approves the share.
